How will this LIVE Speech Coaching Program Work?

Before the program begins, you will submit a speech recording. Sarah, your speech coach, will identify 3 priority speech areas that you need to improve to be better understood in the global workplace. You will meet with Sarah for a 30-minute 1-on-1 initial consultation to discuss your speech and communication goals.

Each group coaching session will begin with a speech warm-up. Each participant will take the floor for a minimum of 10 minutes. During this time, the speaker will either respond to a spontaneous question or come prepared with a specific speaking task. E.g., I have an interview coming up. Today, I want to answer the question, "What was the most interesting suggestion or project you initiated?" Sarah will provide focused individualized feedback with step-by-step guidance. She will then assign a focused homework task.

Hi, I’m Sarah Gallant, M.A. in Applied Linguistics/Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL). Spoken-English Communication Coach. Accent Modification Trainer. Founder of CommuniClear Global.

Over the past 20+ years, I have helped thousands of global professionals, in both academic and corporate contexts, communicate in spoken English with more clarity, confidence, and ease. While my area of expertise gets into the nitty gritty of Global English Pronunciation Skills and the American Accent (upon request), I also coach clients on Public Speaking, Message Delivery, Interview Preparation, and Meeting Participation.

Who are the other training participants?

This program is designed for professionals who are Advanced to Proficient speakers of English. Subject Matter Experts. IT Specialists. Scientific Researchers. Legal Professionals. Is the goal of this program to modify or reduce my accent?

Our overall objective is to help you communicate more effectively in spoken English with speakers of different language backgrounds. We address and work with specific speech features of the English sound system (i.e., vocal projection, individual sounds, and stress & intonation patterns) so that you are able to adjust your spoken English or any accent interference with ease and efficiency.

When I have the floor, I would like to get individualized feedback on my vocabulary use in addition to my speech production. Is this possible?

Yes, absolutely. While the focus of this speech coaching program is on vocal and speech production, let Sarah know what else you would like feedback on. For Sarah, this gives additional value to the group coaching experience: the other participants have the opportunity to learn more as they listen to the feedback that you receive from Sarah. Keep in mind that the journey for advancing your spoken English is a dynamic one. With the proper guidance and community support, you can steadily move forward and enjoy the process.

How would you describe Sarah's speech coaching approach?

Her approach is collaborative and focuses on real world results.

At the start of any coaching program, she has a conversation with each participant about their short and long-term professional goals. She begins with an initial assessment to determine what skills you need to prioritize so that you can achieve your short-term goals. She provides the tools, practice opportunities, and honest individualized feedback each step of the way.

Each coaching session typically revolves around the work that you need to do. Have a presentation coming up? She will ask you to share your presentation slides for the coaching session. How about an interview? You will work through a series of mock interview questions for individualized feedback and step-by-step guidance. Are you a financial expert who needs to prepare for high-stakes meetings? She will ask you to grab an excel spreadsheet for your coaching session.

At the end of each coaching session, Sarah assigns a homework task to help reinforce a specific skill.

What if I'm interested in this program but can't participate due to the time that it is offered?

If I can't join on a specific day, can I jump into the other section instead?

No. Each section is limited to 5 participants, so that each participant is able to receive enough personalized attention during each coaching session.
